What it covers;
Fundamentals of photography, composition, technical details, thinking outside the box, critique, how to exhibit photographs & small demonstrations. The workshops are designed to make your child excited about photography, think constructively, and boost self esteem while learning the basics.
Who we are;
The workshops are run by award winning children's photographer Nicole G. Meisberger and qualified assistants. We are featuring information through 4-H for those who wish to further their photography and exhibit skills.
All participants will be featured in a First Friday open house exhibit in the Irving Theatre!
We will also hold a self publishing workshop and create a book for the Irvington Library! This workshop will be held in August with the members of the entire summer’s workshops. The book will be available for purchase at cost to parents.
Included: five workshops, one disposable camera will be given to each student and turned back in for processing and critique, exhibit prints and mounting for First Friday, cost to publish book, instructor fees, $85 per child/$20 discount per additional sibling
Registration deadline; May 1st. A late registration fee of $15 applies after May 1st
Workshops are open to children ages 8-12
Held in the Irving Theatre 5505 E Washington St
45 minute workshops with optional 15 minute questions
1) May/June; Saturdays May 23rd-June 13th 10-11am
2) June/July; Thursdays June 18th-July 9th 10-11am
3) July/August; Wednesdays July 15th-August 5th 5-6pm
Publishing workshop; Saturday August 15th
Exhibit; First Friday in the Irving-September 4th

We will be in the Irvington Library Saturday, March 14th from 3:30-5p.m. to accept registration forms and payment. You can also pick up a form at Irvington Charter Schools, Our Lady of Lourdes, George Julian #57, Arts Council and 4-H.
